Narrative: 

Lane Community College awards dual credit as outlined by Oregon Administrative Rules 589-007-0200. (Secondary and postsecondary credit for a course offered in a high school during regular school hours, as determined by local policy).

Requirements for instructors:

  1. Masters degree for instructors of lower division collegiate courses; and
  2. Appropriate education and experience for instructors of vocational/technical-professional courses.

Student participants:

  1. Lower division collegiate classes are limited to high school seniors and qualified juniors. Students must meet prerequisite skill and/or test scores. In addition, qualified juniors must be recommended by a counselor and a teacher.
  2. Professional technical courses may be taken by freshmen through seniors, if they have the prerequisite skills, aptitudes and instructor permission.

 Lane will transcript approved dual credit programs.

 Lane requires that materials and subject matter are college level.
