Narrative: 

Lane Community College is committed to providing an atmosphere conducive to learning and free from discrimination, harassment and retaliation. Lane is committed to equal opportunity in education and employment. Students and employees have a legally protected right to a working and learning environment that is free from discrimination and harassment and free from retaliation.

Lane prohibits discrimination in admissions, employment and access to Lane's programs, activities and services on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, marital status, family relationship, sexual orientation, age, pregnancy, disability, religion, expunged juvenile record, or veteran status.

Students, applicants and employees who feel they have encountered discrimination or harassment should inquire at the Human Resources Department for information on their rights, options and resources. The Human Resources Department has complaint procedures and referral information on complaint procedures and referrals. Confidentiality for all parties is ensured to the extent possible and retaliation is prohibited.

Human Resources staff is available to assist members address and correct discriminatory and/or harassing actions on college owned or controlled facilities.
